First Aid Handbook in 10 languages!

We are excited to share the Handbook for First Aid Treatment of Burn Injuries. This is the direct result of community level participatory research on burns conducted in Ethiopia, Nepal and the Occupied Palestinian Territories with partners at the Centre for Global Burn Injury, Policy and Research (CGBIPR), funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR).

The handbook explains clearly how to assess and treat simple burn injuries that frequently occur at community level in low resource settings. It is suitable for primary level health care workers, community volunteers and households.

We encourage you to download for free and share this important resource. It is available in English, Arabic, Hindi, Assamese, Amharic, Oromo, Tigregna, Swahili, French and Portuguese. It will soon be available in Nepalese and Mongolian.

Feedback and photos of the booklet in use in different settings would be greatly appreciated. Clicking on the links below.
