EBC training in Ghana

An Interburns nursing team visited Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in November to run the EBC programme to health care staff from across Ghana. They were joined by team members from Glasgow and staff from Korle-Bu.

An official MoU was signed between Interburns and Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, so that Korle-Bu can continue delivering EBC across Ghana at a fraction of the cost of a visiting international team.

Mrs Dominique Navet, from the Welsh Centre for Burns and Plastic Surgery who is leading the development of the Advanced Burn Care Nursing module, handed over the course to Dr Opoku Ware Ampomah, Director of the National Reconstructive Plastic surgery and Burns unit at Korle-Bu. This marked the 2 year anniversary of the first collaboration between Interburns and Korle-Bu in November 2013.
