Tricia Price, Honorary Patron

Tricia is a co-founder of Interburns, with Professor Tom Potokar.  Originally a Health Psychologist, she is an Emeritus Professor from Cardiff University where she served as Pro Vice-Chancellor for Student Experience and Academic Standards, having previously been Head of School of Healthcare and Director of Wound Healing Research in the School of Medicine. She has published over 200 research papers across a wide range of topics, including Wound Healing, Burns and Rehabilitation Medicine. She also worked as the Academic Lead at the Centre for Global Burn Injury Policy and Research at Swansea University.

I am very proud of the things we have achieved as a charity; it has been an honour to be part of such a dedicated team who have worked to make a difference, often with limited resources, while using local solutions to build capacity in low-middle income countries.”

Björn Skúlason

Björn is a businessman from Iceland. He grew up in Grindavík where he was involved in sports from a young age and played football in the premier league. Björn studied business in Alabama, US and, in 2004, he graduated with an MA in Management Psychology from the University of Essex, England. In 2012, Björn trained in culinary arts at the Natural Gourmet Institute, New York.
Björn has worked in insurance and asset management and has been CEO of the company, Nóatún. He has run his own catering business in Copenhagen, and taught cookery courses. Today he runs the company ‘just björn’, which produces and markets natural dietary supplements made from Nordic fish products. He is married to the President of Iceland, Halla Tómasdóttir.

Alex Crawford

Alex is a Special Correspondent, and founding journalist, of Sky News. She travels the world covering major stories, often from war zones, and has been based in Delhi, Johannesburg, and the UAE. Alex was the first journalist to independently gather first-hand evidence of the Rohingya ethnic cleansing, now before the ICC, and also broadcast live from Tripoli's Green Square as rebels took Libya's capital. She is a five-time RTS Journalist of the Year, has won four BAFTAs, five international Emmys, the James Cameron Award for outstanding journalism and moral integrity, and the Charles Wheeler Award for contribution to broadcast journalism. Alex is Patron of the NCTJ and holds honorary doctorates from UAL and Solent University for services to journalism.
