Interburns is pleased to announce that our partners in Nepal, Nepal Burn Society, have received support from the National Health Training Centre for Nepal (NHTC) to carry out three additional Essential Burn Care training courses in the remote regions of Nepal. This is in addition to the EBC trainings they are carrying out as part of our DFID-funded programme in Bangladesh and Nepal.

These three trainings are taking part in the following locations and dates:

  • Dhangadhi Center (14 June, 2014, Saturday)
  • Birgunj Center (28 June, 2014, Saturday)
  • Birtanagar Center (12 July, 2014, Saturday)

Congratulations to Nepal Burn Society and its team for winning recognition from the NHTC for burn care training in Nepal. Interburns handed over the EBC training course to NBS last year so that they can continue to deliver this programme to doctors, nurses, therapists and other staff throughout the country. NBS has already carried out three EBC trainings in Nepali in 2014, at Kathmandu Medical College, Bheri Zonal Hospital in Nepalgunj, and Janakpur Zonal Hospital and will be delivering further training to around 300 health professionals over the next 2 years.
