Advanced Burn Care Rehabilitation training: Dhaka, Bangladesh 15-19 March 2015
Interburns is developing an Advanced Burn Care Rehabilitation training programme for physiotherapists and occupational therapists working in burns in Low and Middle Income Countries, in collaboration with Sunshine Social Welfare Foundation, Taiwan. This five day training will be hosted at the National Institute of Burns and Plastic Surgery at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), Bangladesh from the 15th – 19th of March 2015. Places are strictly limited to encourage interaction and allow practical hands-on training on the wards of DMCH.
The course itself is free and there are no charges for the training. As this training is being delivered as part of a comprehensive Interburns project funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID) to improve burn care in Bangladesh and Nepal, Interburns can only provide funding for the cost of flights, accommodation and subsistence to a limited number of trainees from those countries. Participants from other countries and regions are also welcome to apply, but they will need to either self-fund or find other sources of funding. We will also consider applications from doctors working in burns care who have an interest in rehabilitation.
Please see attached for the invitation letter and application form for the training. Please send any queries or completed applications to Richard Bendell at firstname.lastname@example.org.
